TISD Announces Key Employees Assignments

In the course of their Tuesday, June 29, 2021, common conference, the Texarkana Unbiased University District (TISD) Board of Trustees introduced crucial employees assignments for the 2021-22 university calendar year.

Assignments are:

SHERRI PENIX, recent Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources & Campus Assistance at Fort Smith Community Educational institutions in Fort Smith, Arkansas, will be a part of the Tiger Household as Main Innovation Officer beginning August 2, 2021.

In her existing position, she has played a crucial role in the implementation of revolutionary packages intended to carry out strategic goals such as the growth of alternatives for college students and improvement of workers recruitment and retention initiatives. 

Penix leadership as an Elementary Principal for Euper Lane Elementary was regarded when the campus was named a Nationwide Blue Ribbon University by the U.S. Section of Education in 2016 and a National Title I Distinguished University in 2015.  Her profession also involves support to college students as a counselor and a teacher.

Penix acquired her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and learning & Early Childhood from Southern Arkansas College and a Grasp of Science in Steering & Counseling from Henderson State College.  She holds a Certification in Administration from College of Arkansas-Fayetteville and a Certification as an Academic Professional in District Administration from Arkansas Tech College.

PATTI O’BANNON, previous Principal of Nash Elementary University, is transferring her talents to Texas Substantial School as their new campus Principal.

She retains a Bachelor of Science in Schooling from Southern Arkansas College, a Learn of Science in Counseling Psychology and Principal Certification from Texas A&M College-Texarkana and a Superintendent Certification from the Bill Ratliff Government Academy at Texas A&M University-Commerce.

O’Bannon started her career in schooling 28 yrs in the past serving in diverse positions with Hooks ISD, Redwater ISD and Liberty-Eylau ISD.

Through her time with Nash Elementary, O’Bannon has led enrollment expansion and district leadership in the Chief in Me program.  In 2016, Nash Elementary was 1 of 25 faculties in Texas and one of only 290 in the environment to acquire the designation as a Leader in Me Lighthouse College by Franklin Covey Co.  For the duration of that identical year, the campus was also named a Texas Honor Roll University.  2018 brought a lot more recognition to the Nash Elementary campus as it was regarded as a Lighthouse University of Educational Difference.

LILIANA LUNA will consider the helm of Nash Elementary University as their new campus Principal.

Luna is a very first-generation faculty graduate who retains a Bachelor of General Scientific studies with a Concentration in Reading as well as a Principal Certification in Grades    EC-12 from Texas A&M University-Texarkana.  Furthermore, she gained a Learn of Science in Curriculum & Instruction and a Grasp of Education and learning in Educational Administration from TAMU-T and with the guidance of the TISD Graduate Cohort Program, which cash academics the option to complete their Master’s Diploma.

Luna was lately named the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA) Location VIII Assistant Principal of the Year and is presently enrolled in The Invoice Ratliff Superintendent Academy by way of Area 8 Education Assistance Heart.
