MARQUETTE, MI – Marion L. Braem, age 88, of Marquette, entered everlasting lifetime Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Mill Creek Assisted Living Facility.
Born Oct 31, 1932, in Laurium, a daughter of Raleigh and Elvira (Stone) Draper, Marion was elevated in Baraga. She graduated from Baraga High College, Class of 1950, and relocated to Marquette the place she enrolled in nursing school.
Upon obtaining her certification as a accredited functional nurse, Marion was initially used in Ontonagon exactly where she achieved her foreseeable future husband, Robert Braem. The few was married on August 14, 1954, in Baraga. With each other, they created their 1st home in Marquette wherever Marion was employed for a time at St. Mary’s Medical center. Bob was employed with the Fish and Wildlife Companies which took them to Oconto, Wisconsin for a 12 months before returning to Marquette. Domestically, Marion kept herself chaotic, volunteering at the Silver Creek Elementary University, which finally led to serving as a kindergarten aide, and finally as school secretary.
When the Cherry Creek School was founded, she and Sam Oslund, had been instrumental in obtaining the challenge underway, he as principal and she as university secretary. She continued to get the job done at the university until finally retiring, devoting over 22 decades of provider to the public educational institutions. In her leisure, Marion savored knitting, crocheting, baking, supporting good friends, and especially adhering to the functions of the grandkids.
Marion is survived by her kids, Patricia (Jeffrey) Magaw of Nashua, NH and Robert (Jane) Braem of Caro, MI her grandchildren, Kristie (Dan) Silva, Julie (Monica Arrigo) Koskey, Brad (Kate) Magaw, Lauren (Kevin) Arden, David (Maria) Braem, and Mark (Jules) Braem excellent-grandkids, Ben, Caroline, Leilani, Micah, Amelia, and a terrific-grandson anticipated in January many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her mother and father, Marion was preceded in loss of life by her partner of 63 decades, Robert and her sister, Audrey Chapman- Tribble.
